Jaxton has arrived!

On the 12th of December our little Jax came to join us! He was born at 9:24 p.m. weighing 7 lbs 4 ounces and 19 inches long! I went into labor at 1 p.m. went to the hospital around 4:15 p.m. They timed my contractions and checked to see what I was dilated to, which was a 4+ and after about an hour and a half let me know they were going to keep me and that I was going to be having Jaxton. About 6:00 p.m. they put me in the labor and delivery room and timed my contractions some more. At about 7:00 they checked me again and i was dilated to a 5+ and told me they were going to call the doctor. Around 7:30 they started me on pitocin to make my contractions harder and shortly after the doc. came in and broke my water. He told the nurse that he was going to go to the other hospital for about an hour and then the rest of the night he will be at home until he gets the call. I guess he told the nurse that he was going to estimate me delivering at about 3:00 am the next morning.The nurse asked me if i wanted my epidural and i told her that i was going to hold out just a little longer. About the time she got half way down the hall I hit the nurses button saying I wanted it as soon as possible. I didn't realize how bad the pain was going to be after my water broke. Greg was a good sport and even got bit through one of the contractions. my mom kept telling me to just breath and she got yelled at by me saying that i couldn't! The anesthesiologist came in and gave me the epidural and made most the pain go away. Greg hadn't eaten all day so Josh (my brother-in-law) and Greg went to the cafeteria to find something. Just after he left the nurse came in... its about 8:20... to check me. i had already dilated to a 9!!!! she told me that she was going to call the doctor that i was going to be having my baby very soon. we called Greg and told him to get his butt back that if he didn't he was going to miss it. Don't worry he didn't, but around 9:00 the doctor came in and i had Jax 24 min later!!!!

Dog Park!

Well since the dog park opened here in St. George we have been taking Kirra over there to run and play in hopes that she will be more tired at night when we come home. Boy were we wrong! She loves to play with all the other dogs and especially a dog named Bandit. Bandit is a husky/malamute mix. Bandit just tries to play keepaway so Kirra just starts biting his tail to get him to play. Kirra also had another little friend to play with, Kaiya. Kaiya is the boxer puppy in the video that is stomping Kirra!! The owner of Kaiya had to giver her away because he didn't have the money to take care of her. She has been really sick and wasn't getting better so Kirra misses her coming to the park to play.

Other than taking Kirra to the park and working alot, nothing much has changed around our house. Amber is 35 weeks along now and can't wait to get that baby out of her belly! We can't wait to see what he is going to look like and are excited to be parents (maybe!).

3D ultra sound

Our baby Jaxton! We went and got a 3D ultrasound and it made us so happy to see our little guy! We just cant wait until we can hold him in our arms! Only 9 1/2 weeks left!

We're having a BOY!

Yesterday we had our first ultra sound. Everything looks great! The baby was being very stubborn at first but eventually let us know that we are expecting a BOY! Its crazy to think but very exciting at the same time. I am going to have to take all the horror storries I've heard about little boys and just not worry and gain my own. Now that we know, Greg will allow me to go and buy stuff so I am excited about that. Little boy stuff is sooo flippen cute right now! Amanda is having a boy as well so we will have a little cousin he can hang out with and get into mischeif with. LOL. Its going to be a blast!

update

Well its been a few months since Greg has posted anything. We are now in the end of July and the year is just flying by! In May we went to the Bahamas and had a blast with Gregs family. we did a lot of snorkling! We ended up swimming with dolphins, scuba diving (all but me because we had recently found out that we have a little one on the way.), kayaking, and snorkling some more. The water there is gorgeous! I am still working at Nielsen's until October or November. Greg is still at Riverwoods and now is working part time for a company called Primerica. We are doing well. We recently remodled our kitchen and laundry room and man its been nice! We are hoping to be able to get the yard done by the time the baby comes which is due December 17th. We are hopefully finding out the gender today!!!

2008 Already!

Well the year is already on its way and we can hardly believe it. Amber and I are doing great! We have been married now for almost 3 years here in March. No kids and none on the way anytime soon! J/K Maybe within the next 5 years! Amber still loves working with her mother and Nielsens Frozen Custard and i'm still @ Riverwoods Mill Cabinet shop. They have downsized quit a bit these past few months and I made both cuts so I must be doing something right. I moved positions from the cabinet building lead to the final assembly lead. They say it will be a good move, I just hope they're right. This video is last year when Kirra was still running off with everything she could get her mouth on. We thought, well, I thought it was funny, Amber didn't!

We are looking forward to going to the Bahamas in May with my parents, Megan and sterling & Susie. It should be a blast! Well that's all for now hope you're all doing great.
