HaLLoWeeN FuN!!

On Friday morning we took Jaxton to Snow Canyon High school to do a trick-or-treat at all the classrooms. He wasn't sure what to do until I was showing him that all the people with bowls in their hands were full of candy for kids. We were hearing "ohhh, look at the cute chicken" "she's such a cute chicken" "Oh the chicken is soooo cute" Its was a lot of fun, my little boy has never been called a girl until then. We then went home and Jax took a nap so we took the opportunity to carve our pumpkins. I think they turned out swell. That night we had Grandma Maynes watch Jax and Maddox while we went to a very sad haunted house. It was poorly put together and so we then went to another one that was a little better but for me not as good as the staheli farm one. Jaxton and daddy decided to make a fort at 4a.m. That night my whole family got either none or very little sleep. Greg and I were up until 8 a.m. with Maddox. I couldn't keep my eyes open so I had to let Maddox cry himself to sleep. I left him in the bassanet in our room with Greg while I went to lay down in Jaxtons room. I though Jax had gone to sleep but he hadn't and didn't until 10 a.m. Since he wasn't asleep he spent the two hours crawling over top of me. Then just after 10, Greg came in to tell me to get up. We were meeting his co-worker up in zions to get some pics in the fall leaves. By the time we got there we had 10 min before the rain started to fall. So the shots were got were taken very quickly. We plan on going back in two weeks for some more. I love fall shots. After that We had to wake up Jax quite a bit for differant activities we were doing. We went to the Melessa's house and spent a couple of hours there so Jax didn't sleep there... remember hes going off of an hour of sleep. Then he fell asleep on our way home from thier house at 4. Then at 5:45 we were going to the trunk-or-treat that our ward put on and had to wake him back up. Then we went to Grandma Jenkins home and he fell asleep on the way there until we got there then we went trick-or-treating in her neighborhood. It was fun but with me going on less than an hour of sleep and Jax only a few hours we were exhausted. We had a blast and love this time of the year!!! I can not wait until Thanksgiving and Christmas, let alone mine, Jaxtons, and Gregs birthdays all coming up. Fall and winter is such a blast!!!
No smiling with no sleep. At least the boys aren't crying.

Our little chicken!! Just before we went trick-or-treating at the highschool.

I dressed up as a Peacock. This is just after we got back from the highschool.

Getting ready to start carving.

The finished product!!! Jack-o-frost and Shrek-o-lantern
Jaxton's and Daddy's 4 a.m. Adventure!
Crazy boys!!!

"GRRRR".... Inside his little fort daddy made for him

"This looks like a good way to get on top of the fort.

This kid climbs on EVERYTHING!!!

Come on dad!!! Keep playing with me!

Aunt Meg, Uncle Danay, and cousin Savanah. Meg and Danay love their nieces and nephews so much and they love them back. Its fun to watch them play with them. Meg was a Geisha and Danay was a buddist monk. They are such a cute couple.

Jaxton wears his emotions right on his face. He wasn't sure what to think of all the crazy costumes down the parking lot. He didn't know if he wanted to continue down the parking lot for the candy.

The little rooster chick that I will never let go of!

My little batman!

Just after trick-or-treating. Jax wouldnt't let go of his candy.

At the end of the night after Jaxton goes to bed we get our special time with Maddox. Maddox usually sleeps most the day and with such a busy almost two year old we don't spend much time with him. We love to snuggle with the little guy.

Daddy with Maddox. I love these special moments with Greg and his boys. He makes the best daddy ever!

Pumpkins and Cookies

On Tuesday Amanda, Josh, and I decided to let the boys paint their pumpkins and decorate some sugar cookies. It was a lot of fun just doing something festive. They did so good decorating their pumpkins. Jaxton made his very colorful and made sure he covered the pumpkin quite well. Trevor did the same but spread his paint thinner so it didn't show up as well. They had a lot of fun!! When we put up the paint they got upset until they realized we were decorating cookies. Jaxton spent most the time eating his frosting cup. Trevor on the other hand was afraid to eat his frosting cause he thought it was still paint. We told him it was "candy paint" and it was ok to eat it. He got mad at his dad when Josh was trying to put it in his mouth, but once Trev got a little taste he realized the candy paint was delicious!!! I didn't get a picture of the finished cookie product but we did much better than I thought. They actually looked quite good! Jax is doing such a good job painting his pumpkin.
So colorful!

Jaxtons finished product.
Greg and I are going to carve the other two this weekend before the trunk or treat.

Our weekend at the Staheli Farm

This past weekend we decided to take Jaxton out for an adventure to the Staheli Farm. They have quite a bit of things for kids to do and Jaxton had a blast. We had Grandma Jenkins watch Maddox and enjoyed spending the day with Jaxton. We also invited Amanda and Josh to come with Trevor. We saw all types of farm animals: Horses, Donkeys, Ponys, Chickens, Turkeys, Cows, Goats, Llamas, Sheep, Peacocks, Bunnies, and Pigs. They also had tractors and everything else which Jaxton was absolutly infatuated with. He tried to follow one around the whole time we were at the pumpkin patch. I guess a two year old (well mine anyway) could care less about a pumpkin. I had to end up picking his out. It was a lot of fun.
Later Greg and I went back to go through the forest of screams, which is their haunted corn maze. I didn't think I would get scared but much to my surprise I did. I hate people in my face let alone someone with an ugly mask on. Amanda started to tell the actors to get in my face cause it makes me run. Too bad that when I run it actually makes me too far ahead of everyone and I find myself alone. Oh well, everyone got a laugh out of me. I had forgotten my camera so I do not have any pictures of me being a scaredy cat. This weekend we are hoping to go to another haunted house type thing. I hope it's just as good. Here we go!

What the??? I didn't know goats climbed like this. I just thought mountain goats did.

What in the world is this?!? Strange ugly face!

Jaxton's highlight of the whole day.

He tried to follow it wherever it went.

My pumpkin. This is the ugly side though. Jax was trying to lift it up. His face is so cute!
They didn't have any small orange ones so I grabbed this little green one. He wouldn't look at me cause he was still so interested in the tractor.

If only the sucker was a peice of hay, this pic would have been a perfect farmer boy picture.

Trevor and Jax were about to play tractor derby!

Jax is such the little leader. There was one more tractor and a differant little boy got on it and followed them around as well.
